The programme was initiated seeking the blessings of the almighty by the students singing the school shabad. A buoyant cultural bonanza was exhibited by the tiny tots of the school through a Welcome Song, Grandma’s parable, Punjabi play, Bhangra-Gidda presentation. The programme was highly appreciated by the dignitaries and parents. To encourage the tiny students of the Pre-Primary to enter the next level of education, Nursery Graduation Certificates were given by the School Governing Body.
The main attraction of the day was the play – “Anik Bhant Kar Seva Kariye Jiyo Praan Dhan Aage Dhariye.” which sensitised the value of giving respect to the elders in the family and also inculcating the right value of Sewa- Service to humanity with humility.
Applauding the endeavour made by the school teachers and students, Jathedar Kuldeep Singh Bhogal in his motivational speech shared the secular approach adopted by the School in inculcating the educational values in the students. He paid empasis on the fact that the school run by the name of the revered Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji aims at imparting spritual values too. He also inspired the students to become successful citizens of the country and serve humanity. He remembered the rich Sikh History sharing the life of sketch of Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji, sacrifices made by famous Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji and Sikh Fateh Divas Celebrations. He also mentioned about the Kirtan Darbar held at India Gate and paid homage to the Contribution of the Sikhs in the freedom struggle of Independence.
